Dr. John Avgeris – Greece

Dr John Avgeris graduated from the Dental School of Athens, Greece in 2002. Since then he has been practicing restorative dentistry and implant surgery and has participated in numerous clinical courses and workshops in prosthodontics, periodontics and dental implantology. In 2008 received his master course certificate from UCLA university in Los Angeles, California, under the supervision of the well-known periodontist dr. Sacha Jovanovic. In 2010 competed successfully the “advanced surgical course in implantology” in Zimmer Dental Institute in Switzerland and the year after he received extensive training in periodontal microsurgery with Prof Markus Hurzeler in Munich, Germany.
Dr. Avgeris runs his own private surgery, located in Athens, where he practices exclusively implant dentistry and oral surgery utilizing imaging guided techniques. His scientific interests focus on the evolution of the dental science and cutting edge technologies such as 3D digital dentistry, piezoelectric bone surgery and minimally invasive implant surgery. In 2010 was a clinical evaluator of tapered implants navigator surgical kit for Biomet 3I representing Greece. He has been trained on computer assisted placement of dental implants and participates in many seminars at this field as a lecturer and instructor.Since then he acts as a mentor in computer guided implantology in Simplant Academy for Greece and Europe. In 2011 after successful examinations earned his Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the British Academy of Dental Implantology.

Dr. Urde received his dental degree from Faculty of Odontology, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden in 1979.
