Fellowship
The British Academy of Dental Implantology offer two routes to Fellowship of the Academy.
Implant Surgical Route
Candidates who have a PG Dip Imp Dent from the British Academy of Dental Implantology must submit a further 50 documented implant placements for Board review in order to be eligible for fellowship.
Upon successful case review, candidates submit a dissertation (literature review) in order to gain Fellowship Approval from the Executive Board.
Implant Prosthodontics route
Candidates who have a PG Dip Imp Prosth. from the British Academy of Dental Implantology must submit 30 documented implant restorations for Board review in order to be eligible for fellowship.
Upon successful case review, candidates must submit a dissertation (literature review) in order to gain Fellowship Approval from the Executive Board.

Documents Required
- Membership of the British Academy of Dental Implantology
- PG Diploma from the British Academy of Dental Implantology
- Copy of graduation certificate
- 2 personal pictures
- At Least 50 credit hours of continuing education in implant dentistry courses
- At Least 50 credit hours of continuing education in restorative dentistry courses

Intent to Take the Examination:
All applications should be submitted before – date to be advised.
Once your application is approved, you will be contacted by the Diploma Board. At that time, you will be required to submit a Letter of Intent with the appropriate fees.
A cancellation fee of £500 will apply for any candidate requesting to cancel after the advised date.
Applicants Responsibilities
The timely submission and accuracy of the information submitted is the responsibility of the applicant.
The BADI will not accept applications under the following circumstances:
- Application arrives past the posted due date
- Applications those are incomplete, without required signatures fees andsupporting documents.
If at any time during the application your contact information changes, it is your responsibility to contact the BADI and update your file.
Examination Results
Examination results will be announced within a day of the examination datefor the first part and the part II examination.
Appeal Mechanism
Candidates who fail either part of the examination may appeal this decisionto the Board. Each appeal must be submitted in writing and must be receivedin the BADI board within 5 days after the examination results are announced.
Disclaimer
The Diploma Board reserves the right to change certification and or application requirements and deadlines for future examinations. The BADI Board may at its discretion, approve, or deny any candidate for certification who does not fully satisfy the certification route or qualifications as set forth by the BADI.
